Chili



  • 1 lbs ground beef
  • 14 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • 28 ounces canned kidney beans, black beans or pinto beans
  • 28 ounces canned tomatoes
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1/4 cup chili powder or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottomed stockpot brown the ground beef.
  2. Drain the fat.
  3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
  4. Lower to a simmer and cook uncovered (keep at a simmer level) for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve.
