- 1 lbs ground beef
- 14 ounces canned tomato sauce
- 28 ounces canned kidney beans, black beans or pinto beans
- 28 ounces canned tomatoes
- 1 can Rotel tomatoes
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 stalks celery sliced
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 large garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1/4 cup chili powder or more to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- salt to taste
Instructions
- In a heavy bottomed stockpot brown the ground beef.
- Drain the fat.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Lower to a simmer and cook uncovered (keep at a simmer level) for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
- Serve.
